Forward Day by Day The "Forward Day by Day" devotional booklets for November, December, and January are available now. Many people use this publication as part of their regular prayer life. If you do or would like to, be sure to pick one up in the lobby. Removal of Christmas Decorations Sunday, January 7, during Coffee Hour. Annual Meeting Sunday, January 21 at 10 a.m. Note: The English Service will start at 9 a.m. on January 21. Next Bishop’s Committee Meeting Wednesday, January 31 Tutu Desk Program Students in South Africa, especially children, do not have desks in their classrooms. Therefore, Canon Anna Carmichael invites us to support the program to provide them a Portable Desk. The cost of each portable desk is $20. Please donate. We will raise funds through the Day of Pentecost (May 19, 2024). Then our Church will send a check to the Diocesan Office with our contributions. Let’s make a difference in the lives of children in Africa. Ministry Vacancies We need ushers, greeters, and offering counters. Las Posadas at St. Paul's Bakersfield Monday, December 18, 5 p.m. This year’s Posada starts at Mill Creek Christian Church (1660 S Street, Bakersfield), and will end at St. Paul's (2216 17th Street) for refreshments and a celebration. Toys for Tots Our Toys for Tots appeal is now open and we’re collecting new, unwrapped, toy gifts, within the large container located inside the lobby. These will be distributed to less fortunate children at Christmas to help bring the joy of Christmas and send a message of hope. The deadline is Sunday, December 10, 2023.
