April 4 at 10 a.m.: Chrism Mass and Renewal of Vows at St. James Episcopal Cathedral, Fresno

It is traditional during Holy Week for the bishop to bless oils for local use, and for the clergy to renew their ordination vows in the presence of the laity.

Our Diocese will celebrate the Chrism Mass and Renewal of Ordination Vows on Tuesday, April 4 at 10 a.m. at St. James Cathedral. This is a wonderful celebration of mutual ministry in the midst of Holy Week, and the laity are strongly encouraged to attend to witness the renewal of vows and support their clergy in prayer.

There will be an opportunity for fellowship and brown-bag lunch following the service.
